I posted in the ‘SeaRay 390 & 40MY owners’ FB group inquiring if any of our “sister” vessels had similar scenarios. What a blessing this group is and a treasure trove of knowledge! We tried some experiments with a/c based on their input and confirmed all is working as it should be! There are four triggers which command the a/c water pump to cool the a/c units. Our older a/c unit always commands the pump to be “on”. The newer a/c units are more efficient and do not command the pump to always be on, but appear to apply some logic. Another mystery solved and we can proceed knowing our a/c is working!
We meet up for dinner with looper friends at Treylor Park restaurant, what an interesting play on words for the venue. There is holiday weekend congestion everywhere! We walked back to the boat from dinner in much cooler temps. It was great exercise and a pleasant evening stroll. When we returned to the marina we observed a school of fish by a light on the dock apparently feeding on bugs.

The St Augustine Lighthouse was casting a beacon of light across the night time sky.
Normally we are like sailors and tucked in at dusk. Our friends are heading out in the early morning as well. We live on boater time – early to sleep and early to rise.
