Our Loop Adventure

April 8, 2025

We are taking the intracoastal south with the Gulf visible to our right.

Then we head north up the Caloosahatchee River to Fort Myers area.

It is a gray cloudy day with some light rain. And we use our wipers.  Most bridges we encounter have more than ample air draft clearance for our vessel. This Lift bridge had it been closed would have required coordination for passage.

Sweetwater Landing Marina will be our stop for the night. A Tiki Bar restaurant is among the on-site amenities but we decide to have MAB salad.

And treat ourselves to Key Lime pie from the restaurant. Much like his “visit every Walmart” bucket list item, Alan is on a quest to try every Key Lime pie encountered. Another long day is planned so we call it a night asap. There is an impressive 100+feet long yacht parked by us at the marina. Wow!
