It was wonderful being home for the holidays and we expected to resume our journey by the end of January.  Our boatyard dragged their feet.

We rented another one-way rental car and drove to Gulf Shores to supervise completion. Feels like work for Alan (task was very much like a project engineer driving a program to completion). Nauti Nerds is waiting for us and eager to get on the water.

There are birds and dolphins to entertain us while we supervise. There is an awesome ice cream shop called Sweet Cone Alabama here. If you get the chance try their Key Lime ice cream which is exceptional.

We went on a sea trial (basically like customer acceptance) on March 13 and departed the next day. Yacht yard staff accompanies and shows us how to use new equipment.
